What is Parkinson's
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement and can also affect mood, sleep, thinking, speech and many other aspects of daily life. Symptoms vary from person to person, and no two journeys are exactly the same.
Common Symptoms
- Tremor
- Slowness of movement (bradykinesia)
- Muscle stiffness
- Balance difficulties
- Changes in handwriting
- Reduced facial expression
- Speech and swallowing changes

Medication and treatment
Medication is tailored to the individual and may change over time. Taking medication consistently and discussing any side effects with your healthcare team is important. Some people may also benefit from advanced therapies as their condition changes.
